With 107 million Americans searching for products and services online, the Ellen’s team saw this as a key area for rapid growth. Ellen’s website promotions account for a 30% of the chain’s business for its five regional locations. The business is now dominating its competitors online in both paid and non-paid search engine listings. The redesign has been so successful; Ellen’s has contracted NetImpax to build a fully functioning e-commerce site to sell its futon covers nationwide. That site is due to launch in December 2004.
