LifeMatters is a Bethesda-based assisted-living services franchise serving senior citizens. According to the November, 2004 issue of Entrepreneur Magazine: “Seniors are the hottest demographic out there, and this market is only going to get bigger.” LifeMatters agrees. The franchise has exceeded revenue projections for Q3 2004. In addition, with the website launch has also come the immediate sale of three new franchises for the growing firm.

The Challenge

In 2008, the first “aging hipsters” will enter the market for senior care services with an entirely different set of values than preceding generations. LifeMatters needed a new logo and website that truly reflected its energetic, “empowering” approach to at-home care. It wanted to differentiate its uniqueness from the depressing, “winding down” imagery currently used by competing firms. Their website had to stay fresh and informative while remaining unintimidating and user friendly.
